~ At the end of the waterfall ~

now that the week has come to an end,
i want it back.

the past week was interesting,
i wouldn't say awesome,
but it was quite a challenge!

on our way there,
we drove for over 14hours, for at least 2 days to be exact.
there were storms on the second day,
and we were worried that it might continue raining when we arrive karijini.
i reckon that was also the first time seeing a double-rainbow in the sky!
i really love the long drive there, despite the butt-aches...
the horses, the sheep, the cows, the dingoes,
even the dead kangaroos by the side of the road~
it was quite a pity though; as we didn't manage to see any live kangaroos this time...
which reminds me..
we forgot to check if the dead bird was still stuck in the front of our 4WD!
it's wasn't at all a pleasant sight...

karijini turned out to be quite a fun trip, an unexpected kinda interesting.
there were soooo many trails to choose from,
and of course, the one with me would definitely want to explore all of it!
to be honest, i wouldn't have been able to find all these motivation to get my arse off the couch for these on my own!
it really helped to have someone encouraging you to take the first step,
or rather, to get all the bookings done,
and all you needed to do was bring yourself and your clothes.
even though my face showed some kinda reluctance at the start of the later trails,
my heart wanted to go for it, my body wanted to challenge itself further.
at every trail's end, i felt a sense of satisfaction!
i did it! the next thing you know, you're sitting at the end of a waterfall,
enjoying a massage from the splashes.

the outback is amazing.

you stop for strangers, and actually contemplate on whether to let them hitch a ride,
you stop to take pictures of the sky, the sunset, the animals,
you sleep behind bushes as the cars and trucks drive past in the wee hours,
you take quick showers in the open while the ants attack you for flooding their nests,
you wave at almost all the cars/trucks from the other direction,
and you frown when they don't respond, whereas you smile and gloat when they wave back!
you hold your bladder whenever you don't wanna pee out in the open.

P.S. i don't regret doing any of these,
but i know i would have regretted if i hadn't done any of it.

can't believe i'm actually saying this but... i actually kinda miss it :P
