~ Officially a (Sexy) Graduate ~

time to get used to ticking a different box in the forms,
time to get all the shits tgth,
and move on to the next phase.

Graduation meant another step closer to my dreams,
and to be able to share this moment with my loved ones, the feeling's amazing.
Mommy, daddy and genie flew over,
and the moment i walked into the ceremony hall,
i cld see the wide smiles on their faces, and their small smiling eyes haha.
this will not be the only time i'll walk down the aisle to make them proud,
there'll be other chances, other types of aisle.
one of it, of course, daddy would hold my hand and lead me down.
but that's gonna be ages away, but it's a dream i'll look forward to.

no amount of 'thank you' could show how thankful i am,
to have my loved ones there to be a part of my graduation day.
beloved friends who came down to take a pic and send their congrats,
even though the time of their travel was longer than the time we chatted.
so thankful to have you guys by my side the whole time i'm here.
so thankful for lending me a listening ear, a helping hand whenever i'm down.
so thankful for the celebrations that we have.
so thankful for the hugs i receive.
so thankful for your presence.

it was awesome to be able to let mommy, daddy and genie experience my life here
while they were here.
from my mondays to sundays~ even my most important event.
i could feel their worries and heartache as they followed me around,
and actually experience what i do, how i do it, and why.
but i'm really glad that they didn't came here with me from the beginning,
really thankful for the trust they had in me,
really grateful for letting me go though they were initially reluctant.
i saw, i learnt, i made the best out of whatever decisions i've made.

true enough, it was difficult to return to the past habit of depending on them.
i know what i want, i could do it on my own.
perhaps it was also weird for them that i'm leading and they're following,
and i'm insistent on doing stuffs on my own.
family is one that you could fall back on, depend on, hold onto.
when you're with family, it's not just you alone,
it's all in one.
just when i'm starting to get used to it again,
pfffft you guys were heading home.
i went back to square one~
but whenever you're with family, it's awesome!

the night before,
daddy left me a message, 'Everyone can say 'ily' but not everyone really means it.
so believe it when you feel it, not when you hear it.'
maybe it's a little cliche to say this, but it's true that sometimes we need to be told or reminded.
the cliche stuffs tend to be the ones that we take for granted.
indeed, we don't need to hear these everyday, it's how you make us feel that matters,
not what you say to make us feel.

P.S. looking forward to my next phase in life~!
