~ Rapunzel ~

been there,
done that, what's next?

It's been years with my beloved hair,
and it's growing in me that it's actually been quite a few years!
I've only begin to realise that we've been through quite a few hair phases together...
and i bet none of you ,or rather, most of you hadn't,
and wouldn't need to go through these.

it started way back when i had to chop my hair off cos' of school.
all of us had to have short hair, and they've got to be above our collars.
it still scares me to have short hair..
and up until today, i still can't understand as to why that rule was made.
perhaps it'd minimise the time taken to get ready,
but really?
anyway, it might have been one of the reasons why i've not liked having short hair.
i didn't really have a choice back then,
and now, that kinda stayed in me, i guess.

pfft there's more phases that my hair and i have been through~
but... i've to stop here for now...

oh! i was kinda inspired to write this piece cos' i just joined this crazy hair shot contest,
and it made me think about how it all started.
there were both tears and joy when it comes to my hair,
it's a part of me that sometimes i even forget that it's just hair.
it's my style, my accessory, my memories, my security, my life, in a way.
so, when i came across that contest, i thought of putting my hair out there,
and even if i don't win,
i know i've lots of friends who really do love my hair as they do love me :)
it's time for some hair-exposure~

do like the pic to lend me your support, even though the 'likes' might not count,
i just wanna put my hair out there, as it defines the Jolin you guys know,
in one way or another.
