~ Forgotten ~

too caught up,
almost forgotten.
remind me.

often enough,
we look at the little ones,
and think, "wow, how much have you grown?!"
from a lil baby who sleeps all day,
to a kid running around the house,
to the first day of school,
and so on.
then, one day someone comes along
and doesn't recognise you at all.
that's when you know either you've just been simply forgotten,
or you've actually grown up too.
when the little ones were growing, you were busy watching them grow,
busy noting their growths,
how abt yourself?
you, too, are growing slash aging.

not only the young ones grow,
the older ones age too.
you're not the only ones who watch little ones grow,
you're also being watched by the older ones.

without realising,
i've forgotten how much i've grown or aged,
and it's still in the process...
till i-don't-know-when.
