~ Quarter to... ~

it's a quarter to,
only a quarter to,
yet it feels like it's only a quarter past.
soon enough, it's gg to be a quarter past,
and the cycle just goes on and on and on...

i'm back!
i shd have said that long ago,
but i was still adjusting to everything.
despite several unfamiliar faces and places,
it's actually good to be back, to revisit, to relive, to recall~
many pampered moments have been forgotten and recently claimed back :)
there were loved ones whom i've not been there for,
and it feels good to be back (physically) in their lives.
perhaps there were one or two whom i've alrdy missed the chance to return to their side,
and i've been harsh on myself for it.
but they've forced me to face up to this cruel yet exciting thing called, 'life'
at this time of the night, i shd prolly sleep~
or throw up all these thoughts at someone :P
hahaha... but everyone's already sucked into their dreams and fantasies.
where's one owl when you need to share all your midnight thoughts with?
pfffffft. be warned,
don't continue if you're not in for a rollercoaster ride of thoughts and reflection.

once, i imagined the world came to a stop.
perhaps twice or thrice, i imagined it staying still,
prolly with a tinge of staleness as well.
for a minute or two, i stayed in my denial,
and at that moment, the world actually came to a stop.
but i only came to realise that it was only me.
i stopped and got stuck in that moment, while the time continued ticking,
and everyone's lives continued on.

sometimes living in denial may be a blessing,
as the saying goes, 'ignorance is a bliss.'
but you've got to admit...
even when your mind tries as hard to block something out,
you can't stop your heart from feeling it.
that thirst to satisfy the curiosity we have, and it's like an overflowing chocolate fondue,
or an addiction to sweets, chocolate, a feeling, a person, a thing.
it's an answer that we're continuously in search of,
and it's a never-ending one.

true enough, most of us fear the unknown.
yet when you come to terms with it as they start unfolding before you,
you start to recognize what you see, acknowledge how you feel, believe in stuff you hear.
it scares you, but that's normal.
then, when you start to accept it gradually,
you begin to see it.
when you believe it, you see it, and you feel it.
that's when you're actually listening to what's also in your heart.

if a cup of 'listen to your heart' tea
cld allow you to listen to their hearts,
perhaps you wldn't feel that way anymore.
