~ Two-to-the-One ~

every year has a theme,
and if last year's was about realising,
this year's about facing up to the challenges.

it's been ages since i've last blogged,
and tbh, there's not really an excuse...
cos' it's mostly abt spending time and prepping for the events.

finally claimed back that two hours i had put on hold,
and it felt so... weird.
while i was packing the luggage, i was still not exactly feeling it
- that feeling of going away.
even in the car to the airport, or saying goodbye,
everyone was anxious about my flight except for me.
hahahahaha

well, it is, and i've got to admit, time to take a trip back home.
there's so much that i've left here,
so much that needs to be revisited.
indeed, it was initially unsettling when i first touched down...
the changes were noticeable from the moment i entered duty-free...
but the moment a pair of watery eyes met mine, i knew i was right to make this decision,
i knew i was home.

at twenty, there were stuffs you realise that are gradually changing;
family that you know were ageing so quickly,
friends you know that were getting busier by the day,
passers-by that made a certain impact on your life.
things were changing one by one, sometimes all at the same time.
that's when you realise... certain stuffs were beyond your control.
you cld run for awhile, but you cldn't run forever.
it was almost impossible to isolate yourself from all the changes that's happening around you.

then came twenty-one, you've had enough of watching changes happening,
and doing nothing much to those changes.
you've had enough of running around the world, enjoying all those distractions.
you're set to face up to every changes one by one,
and most importantly, accept them as it is.
certain loved ones may no longer be ard,
or certain friends may no longer be the same,
but it's no longer abt making up for the time you missed,
instead it's time to face up to the time you missed,
and do something abt them.

the past two weekends have been awesome,
with two different parties and several dinner dates to celebrate the huge two plus one.
thanks to those who made the effort to come down,
and celebrate this day with me :)
despite the storms and the exams.
thanks for the presents, the hugs, the kisses, the love.

P.S. it's gonna be another awesome summer before the next take-off :)
