~ Skanky School Girl, no more ~

an end may not be a bad thing,
but it's quite a sad thing.
yet again, the amount of sadness is only half of my happiness~
cos' it's a happy ending :)

it's my first sunday away from the drama studio,
away from my lovely friends,
away from the scripts and skankiness.
it's quite a weird feeling being on my bed on a sunday arvo.
it feels kinda empty being on my own
away from the fun drama kings and queens.
but i can't wait for more awesome weekends ahead!

last night marked our last performance,
and it was an awesome one!
despite spending the whole week in a tight suit,
everything was worth while cos' our efforts paid off.
the moment you step up on stage,
the lights dim and the audience quieten down,
all the focus were on us.
at that moment, the fast heart beat rate gave way to a calm confident actor-self,
and that feeling of being on stage is simply awesome.
the nervousness, the butterfly, everything made it even more memorable.

everyday after each performance,
you get stuck in that moment of applause, laughter and hype energy
that it's almost impossible to get out of character as soon as you leave the stage.
even when you're watching from the sides,
your focus and energy is still flowing around the space,
as the audience and actors feed on your energy and vice versa.
the energy just stays within, the excitement waiting to explode.
each night, you just wanna find someone to talk to after the performance.
you just wanna share the shits that's happen, and just talk and laugh~
i miss our late night chats~

i miss our fridays and sundays already.
as much as i miss having my weekends all to myself,
i realise i miss our breakfast dates, and drama days too.

through the workshop and rehearsals,
i learnt a lot, and i made true friends who were willing to stand by me during certain low times,
and were also there to share my joy and excitement.

on the night before the first performance,
i left rehearsals feeling kinda sad,
sad that it was our last yet it didn't feel like it.
sad, cos' we won't be meeting up as much in the near future.
but i felt even happier cos' someone said, we deserve an audience,
and we were getting our audience in less than 24hours.
the thought of having our own applause for the efforts that we've put in,
for all those little criticisms that had been thrown to our faces before,
for all those encouragement from our families and friends,
everything just reminded us of how much we've been through tgth.
the tears we've shed for during these times,
the laughter we shared, the meals we ate, they're such awesome memories.
i love you guys. thanks for being so awesome in my life :)

thanks to all the lovelies who actually came down to support us!
it meant a lot to us,
and to be able to have people coming up to tell you how successful your play is,
how well you acted and danced, etc,
these were the best encouragements ever!
thanks for the cards, flowers, wine, and LOVE! i love you guys! muacks~

cabbed down in a maxi cab that blasted clubbing music all the way,
which attracted lots of wallabies fans' attention as they were leaving suncorp~
hehehe GO WALLABIES~!!
drank from a punch fountain, and had bowls and bowls of candies thrown everywhere,
chips with salsa, wine and other booze~ awwwwwwwww
it was such a fun night, a crazy one too~ :P
i was a Hawaiian chick and i learnt how to do the haiwaiin dance :P
