~ Tiramisu TMA ~

something yummy everyday,
makes the worries go away.
hahaha but too much yummy stuffs...
makes one soooo bad and naughty~

so... the other day, which was quite awhile ago...
hahaha we decided to make tiramisu!
and after just one slice, i got kinda out of control~ ohmy.

all the ingredients needed~!

OMG... just cos' you would need 2 cups of strong hot black coffee,

it doesn't REALLY STRONG COFFEE.

i think a spoonful of coffee powder for each cup shd be sufficient...

cos' i actually put a total of 6 spoonfuls of coffee :S

and half cup of kahlua~ ahhhh YUMMY!

it's a kinda wine. but apparently, you can choose to replace it with orange juice...

which i doubt i'm gonna try :P

Add the 2 cups of hot coffee and half cup of kahlua into a bowl and leave it aside.

separate 3 egg yolks from the egg whites.

and this is the stuffs needed to be mixed tgth for now.

mix the 3 yolks and 1/3 cup of caster sugar into a bowl.

i really like this moment that's captured on camera :)

add 300ml of thickened cream into the mixture.

add 250g of mascarpone into the mixture and mix it till it's thick and pale~

beat the egg whites in another bowl!

oooh i think i can see myself in the reflection there... :S

beat it till its all foamy~!

prepare the spongefingers! they're really sweet :P

that's me again~!

and i do realise that we like using the tongs in everything we do...

hahaha seriously, who invented them!? they're such awesome utensils :P

soak the fingers into the coffee and kahlua mixture, and lay them out onto the tray-bowl~

fold the foamy eggwhites into the mixture from before!

Pour the whole creamy mixture on top of the first layer of soaked spongefingers~

start another layer of soaked spongefingers!

oh you can add a layer of cocoa powder before laying the spongefingers out~

if you want it more chocolately~

third layer of soaked spongefingers!

cream over the top and cocoa powder to finish up!

cover the top with a wrap and in it goes into the fridge!

we wanted to speed up the process... so we put it into the freezer~

hahahahahahaaa

isn't it YUMMY?!!?

i'm actually craving for some now... ahhhh but i've finished it :( BOOO

anyway, had chicken for dinch~ and it was yummy!

there's so many reasons why one shd fall in love with tiramisu.

and it actually has a meaning to it, not sure if many ppl wld know...

perhaps it's the coffee taste, or the wine, or... the cocoa, or the spongefingers!

ooooh it's just the yummiest dessert on earth~

recently, a young boy shared some interesting stories.
and it made me laugh, cos' most of the times we don't know what boys are thinking,
and it goes both ways cos' they think we're such complex beings as well.
but it made me laugh a little, and i could understand where he's coming from.
even though the results may be what most ppl wld look at,
isn't the process important as well?
even if the present in the end is really beautiful,
if it's not made or chosen by the sender,
wld it still mean as much as compared to a present that looks a little imperfect
yet has all your effort placed in it?
perhaps sometimes the little imperfections are what makes something even more beautiful.
cos' it's the thoughts that comes with the present that counts.
do you get me, you little fella?

lately, it's been a little blurry and confusing.
the clouds covering the sun, the storm shadowing the light.
one minute it's shiny and warm,
and the next, it's raining ice cubes~
the little red fist gets comfortable and confused.
