~ Tug-o-War~

born into this world barefooted
and they gave us our first little pair of socks to warm our little feets.
as each year passes, the socks were thrown and replaced with squeaky shoes.
gradually we outgrew them and put on little sandals and flip flops.
in a year or two, we had white school shoes on.
years in school shoes soon gave way to our very first pair of heels.
despite the increasing height of the heels,
in their eyes, we're still in those very first pair of socks.
towards the end, what shoes will we put on at our very last breath?

cereals are such yummy sweet things.
cereals with soy milk is like heaven and earth.
but not everyone appreciates cereal the same way.
sandwich are such yummy breakfast.
they fill your stomach and make your day.
but not everyone is gonna drag themselves out of bed,
and spend half an hour making one.
is there such a breakfast that combines cereal with bread?
is there such a combination that makes us feel the same way?

like wearing a jacket,
and then realising that blazers make you look so much smarter.
bur there are times when you would still want to put on that jacket
and just feel comfortable.
why can't we just wrap a robe around our body and walk out of the house?

P.S. when there's a tug-o-war, i don't want to be the red string in between. yet sometimes, i do.
