~ A heart sees deeper than a pair of eyes ~

i see it.
it's round, holey all around,
smooth yet rough,
glossy at times and comes in various sizes.
most of us would prefer the little ones,
cos' they're easy to eat.
it's orange in colour and has a really pleasant fruity smell to it.
have you guessed it?

at the supermarket,
we'd usually look out for bruises in them,
and i'd try to smell my way through the 'skin'
just so to make sure it's fresh and ready to be eaten.
but have you ever thought of how juicy and sweet it is on the inside,
despite the little bruise on its 'skin'?

yet again,
not everyone is willing to peel open the bright orange skin
and take a bite into the juicy pulps.
sometimes it's really simple,
but we made it so complicated.
